Clare Perrin (b. 2001) is based in London and received a BA in Illustration from Norwich University of the Arts in 2024 and completed the Drawing Intensive at the Royal Drawing School in 2024.

Perrin has recently exhibited The Bout (oil on canvas) at Three Rooms, as well as previously exhibiting in East London for the group show, Drawn to London and in Norwich for the group exhibition, Spectrum.

Her practice aims to capture the intensity of fleeting thoughts and instinctive reactions that are so vital in a moment but are often quickly forgotten, interested in preserving the intensity of a moment before it becomes a memory. Using spontaneous mark making as a way of capturing the immediacy and rhythm of lived experience. Drawing forms an essential part of her process, allowing ideas to emerge intuitively before developing into larger paintings in the studio. Working primarily through painting, Perrin explores the relationship between gesture, colour, and movement. Her approach is intuitive and responsive, allowing each mark to inform the next and creating compositions that retain a sense of fluidity and energy.
